Terms and Conditions

COVID 19 –
You are not permitted to check in if you have any of the current World Health Organisation COVID 19 symptoms. 

If you develop Covid 19 Symptoms during your stay you must follow the current Scottish Government guidance which can be found by clicking on the following link and read the section ‘Covid 19 on the Premises’

The cottage will require to be released back to us on the original day of departure.

RESERVATIONS
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via email.

NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY
The maximum number of occupants permitted to occupy the property for the letting period must not exceed Two unless otherwise agreed with the Proprietor in advance.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE 

Due to the additional time involved in cleaning and preparing the cottage, we aim to have the cottage available for you around 18:00 on the day of arrival. To assist us during the Covid 19 we are asking our guests to vacate the cottage by 8am on the day of departure. Earlier arrival or later departure times will be accommodated where possible and only with prior agreement with the Proprietor. The cottage is rented Saturday to Saturday during High Season, short break arrival days are flexible as per the booking calendar availability.
Bookings outwith Covid restrictions will revert to a 16:00 arrival and 10am departure. 

CANCELLATION OF BOOKING

As with any Holiday, we recommend that you take out holiday insurance as a minimum to cover cancellations, curtailment and loss or damage to personal effects to minimise costs and inconvenience in such an eventuality.

If you require to cancel a reservation for any reason we must be notified immediately by email at enquiries@hebridesholidaycottage.co.uk to ensure that best efforts can be made to re let the property. On receipt of a notice of cancellation every effort will be made to re-let the property for the period booked. If re-letting is successful we will refund all monies paid by you less an administration charge of £25 and less any difference in re-letting price.
If the cancellation is within 8 weeks of the arrival date and we have been unable to be re-let the property the client shall be liable for the full cost of the cancelled rental period. We will work with you to move your cancelled dates to alternative available dates where this is possible, additional costs may be incurred if the price of the alternative dates is greater.

PAYMENT
Unless otherwise stated, a deposit of 25% of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than 4 weeks before the arrival date. The balance must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the arrival date. Non-payment of the balance on or before the final payment due date shall be deemed as a cancellation of the contract by the client.
Bookings made on or within 4 weeks of the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Payment can be made online by credit card, debit card or PayPal. A bank transfer, cheque or cash are also accepted.  

PETS 
Sorry, we do not accept pets.  

SMOKING.
No smoking is permitted within or directly adjacent to the property.
